JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring precise layout and elevation control throughout all phases of construction. This role plays a critical part in translating design plans into physical benchmarks on-site, coordinating with survey teams, project engineers, and construction crews to maintain accuracy in alignment, dimensions, and levels.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications to determine appropriate layout and grade
  • Establish horizontal and vertical control points using surveying instruments (e.g., total stations, GPS, levels).
  • Monitor and verify line and grade using different phases of construction to ensure conformity with design.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and construction crews to resolve layout discrepancies.
  • Set benchmarks, line offsets, and elevations for roads, utilities, foundations, and other infrastructure.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; degree or certification in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.

2. Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in construction surveying or line and grade layout.

3. Technical Competencies (“Know-how”)

  • Proficient on use of surveying equipment (total stations, GPS, auto level, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of civil construction plans and grading specifications
  • With experience on building with precast panels
