LINE & GRADE GEODETIC ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring precise layout and elevation control throughout all phases of construction. This role plays a critical part in translating design plans into physical benchmarks on-site, coordinating with survey teams, project engineers, and construction crews to maintain accuracy in alignment, dimensions and levels.

DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES

• Interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications to determine appropriate layout and grade requirements.
• Establish horizontal and vertical control points using surveying instruments (e.g., total stations, GPS, levels)
• Set benchmarks, line offsets, and elevations for roads, utilities, foundations, and other infrastructure

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent; degree or certification in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.

2. Experience

• 2+ years of experience in construction surveying or line and grade layout.

3. Technical Competencies (“Know-how”)

• Proficiency in the use of surveying equipment (total station, GPS, auto level, etc.)
